Ordinary Companies Act baseline for a company other than an OPC. Not an LLP, GST or income-tax calculator. No company names, accounts or identifiers are needed.
Enter the financial year closing date to see the ordinary AGM limit.
No extensions, holidays or exemptions are applied. Non-adoption of accounts, an AGM not held, overdue filing, OPCs and other special circumstances need a separate review. For an ordinary AGM, also check the Section 96 fifteen-month interval. A first auditor appointed by the Board is not an AGM appointment.

A startup’s obligations depend on its legal structure, financial year, business activity and transactions. A private limited company, an OPC and an LLP do not share the same annual-filing route. Incorporation also does not replace sector licences, tax registration or local employment requirements. Begin with an inventory of your registrations and existing filings, then ask a professional to identify what actually applies. This calendar is a planning aid for a narrow set of company annual obligations, not an assessment that your business is compliant.
The ordinary AGM limit is calculated from the financial year’s close, subject to the interval between AGMs. The financial-statement and annual-return periods instead run from the actual AGM in this baseline. Entering a planned date as if the meeting has already occurred can therefore give misleading reminders. If no AGM was held, or accounts were not adopted, the Companies Act contains separate requirements. Do not treat the absence of a date in this tool as permission to defer a filing.
Keep the prior year’s financial statements, annual return acknowledgement, auditor appointment records, meeting minutes and statutory registers available for the assigned professional. Confirm who prepares the accounts, who conducts the audit and who signs or certifies each form. Annual ROC coordination is not automatically an audit, bookkeeping service or legal representation. Never share portal passwords, director identity documents or confidential accounts through an initial callback form; agree an appropriate document-sharing process after engagement.
A useful retainer specifies the included tasks, response arrangements, consultation duration and monthly allowance. It should say whether unused consultations carry forward, which document reviews are included, how additional work is quoted and how either party can end the arrangement. Ask whether government charges, taxes, professional certification, audit fees and litigation work are excluded. Starter and Growth are enquiry categories here, not prepaid packages with an invented price or guaranteed outcome.
MCA circulars, form versions and company-specific relief can affect the practical filing process. Check the current official requirements before uploading a form, and retain the acknowledgement and payment receipt. GST and income-tax due dates require a separate assessment of registration, turnover, audit applicability and the relevant return period. A calendar reminder is not proof of acceptance, and a later notification does not necessarily extend every obligation. Ask your adviser to record the basis for any extension you rely on.

No. Filing requires an agreed professional engagement. Import the downloaded file into your calendar and check notification settings. There is no background filing service or automatic email alert subscription.
No. The annual-return date is shown without deciding form eligibility. OPCs, LLPs and special cases need their own rules and professional review.
